Scotland's Daffodil Festival

Saturday 12 April - Sunday 13 April 10.00-16.30

This gorgeous spring event showcases over 20,000 daffodils, including historic and modern varieties, as part of the National Scientific Collection of Narcissus. Visitors can enjoy woodland walks, artisan and vintage stalls, award-winning daffodil displays, and various family-friendly activities. The Festival Café will offer food, snacks, and drinks.

Please note that dogs are not permitted, and children under 5 can enter for free.


April Bowhouse Market

The April market weekend will be held on the 12th & 13th of April and will feature an array of Scottish food and drink traders, live music and street food.
This market will be run in conjunction with Tea Green Events who will be bringing along a fantastic range of unique craft traders.

Spring in the Loft

Join Ardross as they hand over their loft to a host of talented artists and craftworkers. This is a wonderful opportunity to pick up unique gifts and handcrafted treats from the makers.

Sketching Workshop

Kellie Castle, Anstruther, KY10 2RE

Each class will touch on the perspective, depth and composition as you go through 10 minute exercises to relax your hands to 30 minute vistas whilst immersing yourself in the beauty and historic environment of Kellie Castle.

The 3 hour session are £45 per person including a light refreshment after the session. All materials needed for the day are provided.

This workshop is perfect for all levels from beginners to those who would like to learn more about speed-sketching style.


Easter Egg Trail at Kellie Castle

Share special moments with your loved ones at our charity’s amazing Easter Egg Trails all across Scotland. Combine a lovely spring walk with your puzzle-solving skills to earn a delicious Easter treat – we guarantee fun for all the family!

Follow the trail, collect the clues, solve the puzzle and win your chocolate reward. This year, we are offering Maltesers or Moo Free eggs, so that our trails can be enjoyed by as many children as possible.

The trail at each place is completely different (you are very welcome to try as many as you like) and will help you and your family explore and learn more about the stories of the property. Each trail sheet costs £5.


Lazy Jazz Sunday Afternoon

A leading, Scottish-based duo that have been performing together for the past 2 decades. Their repertoire includes a mix of original contemporary jazz-based songs alongside reimagined jazz classics and covers of songs by the likes of Suzanne Vega and Joni Mitchell.

he concert is followed by a Gin tasting with Tayport Distillery. ‘Meet the Maker’ will last 1.5 hours starting approx at 5.30 pm. Enjoy a guided tasting of two gins, two liqueurs, and one vodka from their range. Bring your own snacks


Yoghurt, Butter and Fresh Cheese workshop

Join Kristen for a day of cheese making, cooking and sharing a seasonal lunch. Together we’ll explore the art of crafting cheese, seamlessly weaving it with the vibrant flavours and essence of the season.

In this class you will learn how to make buttermilk ricotta, yoghurt, labne, marinated labne, mascarpone, cultured butter and a simple hard cheese for you to mature at home.
You’ll also learn how to incorporate your freshly made cheese (and whey!) to create a delicious lunch on the day.

Lunch will include:

Baked ricotta
Flavoured/ compound butters
Whey and potato focaccia
Seasonal salad

Whipped ricotta with candied peel, pistachio, dark chocolate and shortbread
Whey fermented sodas

You’ll take home: buttermilk ricotta, labne, mascarpone, a simple hard cheese to mature at home, cheesecloth, a comprehensive recipe booklet, plus all the knowledge and inspiration you’ll need to make everything confidently at home.

We recommend you arrive hungry!

Suitable for: absolute beginners with the busiest of lifestyles and the smallest of urban kitchens, passionate home cooks and experienced chefs.

Please ensure you wear closed shoes.
Bring your favourite apron to wear and 4 x 1L containers for cheese, some jars for the leftover whey & bag to take home your cheese.

Minimum age 15.
