If you do want to explore further, St Andrews is less than 10 miles, and the coastal path just a few minutes’ walk, connecting Crail to the neighbouring villages taking in spectacular scenery on the way. Several world-renowned golf courses are within easy reach and those keen for an active break can try out watersports, wild swimming and boat trips. Beachcombing, paddling and building sandcastles are ageless activities you can enjoy on the shoreline and with so many iconic landmarks and vistas there’s always plenty for the keen photographer to capture.
